Happy Holidays Everyone!

If you have happened by Silverspring Studio this Christmas Season, I wish you the happiest of holidays. I am journaling away, albeit mostly without words, which I certainly appreciate the irony of.

Here are a few images from a journal whose cover is drying at the moment:

This is how the two page journal spread looks with the smaller page folded to the right.

I see possibilities for these journal pages, as painting starts, design papers, or just as they are (which is quite enough). The main thing is that I am painting every day, and the insights and skills build very quickly. I am also experimenting with a variety of journal covers, and papers, not to mention different paints and mediums.

Received a lovely book on journaling from my longest friend – am considering how I might move into the new year with this is a creative hobby – not sure what it will look like – want it to be as lovely as yours! Wonder if I’ll let fear of not lovely get in the way of trying it anyways! Hope not! Stay tuned – as soon as I get my website moved (oh please make that soon and finally easy!) I will be posting – thinking more along the lines of the coloring book I’ve started.
