This is from a beautiful little children’s book,  Grateful: A Song Of Giving Thanks, by John Bucchinno.

I’ve got a roof over my head,

I’ve got a warm place to sleep,

Some nights I lie awake counting gifts,

Instead of counting sheep.

If you lie awake tonight, may you count your gifts and blessings, even if it keeps you up for hours!

The observer, when he seems to himself to be observing a stone, is really, if physics is to be believed, observing the effects of the stone upon himself. ~ Bertrand Russell.

About CarolWiebe

Art entices, inspires, and delights me. Art is a vehicle for laughter, tears, wonder, enlightenment--taking me on a constant path of discovery. You can't say that about housework (except, perhaps, for the crying part).

  1. Really nice! When I’m employed by MCPS as a tutor, I do most of my teaching in county libraries. Spending quality time in the children’s section is always, always good for the soul.

    and that’s another blessing!
